PLDC - According to ISNA, at the beginning of this ceremony ,the director general of Tehran's Sport Organization, Hojatollah Khatib ,expressed his regret of not being able to have this match in Tehran and asked two teams to play a professional football and avoid any kind of tumult. The managing directors of Esteghlal and Piroozi clubs ,Ali Fathollah Zadeh and Akbar Ghamkhar, emphasized on friendship along with competition in the field. They hoped that this match be useful for Iran's National Football. Receiving some rewards from Bimax Company ,Ali Parvin, Roland Koch ,and Ebrahim Talebi expressed their satisfaction of holding such ceremonies. During a lecture ,Roland Koch, mentioned such meetings unique in the world and invited other countries to do the same thing. He added that each one of two teams which is stronger will win the match. Then old players of two teams such as Homayoon Behzadi, Mohammad Panjali, Reza Jabari, Mazloomi, and AbdolAli Changiz were appreciated. Monshi Zadeh the first player of Esteghlal who scored against Piroozi -and Nazem Ganjapoor -the first player of Piroozi who scored against Esteghlal-and Mozoon the referee of their first match were also appreciated.
