Esteghlal climbs table after 2-1 victory

PLDC - Esteghlal Tehran played against Bargh Shiraz in Tehran won with the result of 2-1 in the final match of the 7th week of the Iranian Professional League. Both teams played a very exciting match and managed to score against each other. In the first half Ali Samareh scored the first goal for Esteghlal and Mohammad Mansouri scored for Bargh on a penalty. The first half ended as a 1-1 draw.

After the break both teams were more active but Esteghlal was clearly in better control of the game. According to evaluations, Esteghlal was in the opponent’s area for 57 percent of the second half and Bargh only managed to be in Esteghlal’s area of the pitch for only 27 percent. Vahedi Nikbakht gave Esteghlal the lead in the 53rd minute and the match ended after 4 minutes of extra time.

Esteghlal Tehran is now in 4th place with 11 points and Bargh is still tenth with their 7 points.
