Sepahan still on top after victory

PLDC - In the 6th week of the Iranian Professional League, Sepahan of Isfahan defeated Bargh Shiraz at home with the score of 1-0 on Friday, 7/12/2002, to retain their position at the top of the table with 16 points. The second and third place is now occupied by Fajr Shiraz and Persepolis each with 11 points, giving Sepahan a comfortable lead over other teams and probability of league championship if the trend continues. 

Sepahan’s single goal of the match was the handiwork of Edmund Bezik in the 60th minute. The best player for Sepahan was Saieed Ramezani and the best for Bargh was judged to be Abass Mohammadi. About 8,000 fans 
attended the match. Bargh still seems to have problems and showed in this game that they need still more preparation for future matches.
