Esteghlal Tehran defeat Malavan Anzali 3 - 0

PLDC - In the postponed 5th week match between Esteghlal Tehran and Malavan Anzali, Esteghlal defeated their guests with the score of 3-0.

The first half which ended on a 0-0 note was very active with numerous attacks and counters on both sides. The teams were evenly matched in this half and despite a number of close misses no goals were scored. The 
first half ended after 3 minutes of injury time.

The second half began with a surprise offensive by Esteghlal which earned them two goals early on. In the 48th minute, Ahmad Momenzadeh of Esteghlal scored the first goal. Faraz Fatemi missed his header in the 50th minute but in the 54th another header of his landed in the net to widen the gap. 

Despite the intense efforts of Malavan, they did not get many opportunities to score and Hadi Tabatabaei, Esteghlal goalkeeper had an easy time of it but was fouled on once or twice. Esteghlal was in clear control in the second half and a low-spirited Malavan could not do anything. 

In the 75th minute Fatemi was changed with Hasheminasab. In the 76th minute Hasheminasab missed his chance on a pass from Momenzadeh. The third goal for Esteghlal was again by Momenzadeh on a pass from Mansourian 
in the 43rd minute which made the team the undisputed winners of the match. The game ended after 4 minutes of extra time.

Esteghlal is now in the 5th place in the league table with 7 points and Malavan stands at the bottom of the table with 3 points as the previous week.
