Pourheidari at IFF Disciplinary Committee

PLDC - Following a number of comments to the press and media by Mansour Pourheidari, Sanat Naft head coach, regarding objections to the way the Iranian Football Federation (IFF) has scheduled the Professional League and Elimination Cup matches, he was summoned to an IFF Disciplinary Committee session yesterday, 02/12/2002, to clarify and justify his misconduct.

During the session Pourheidari once again opposed the way the Iranian Football Federation (IFF) had scheduled the Professional League and Elimination Cup matches and announced that he was not doing this to blackmail the Federation. Pourheidari also expressed disagreement with the regulation by the IFF stating that coaches were prohibited from speaking to the press and media.

He said that it was necessary for coaches to speak to the media and press after each match and during each season to give explanations and tell them about their teams. The final decision of the committee has not been issued as yet.
