PLDC - In the Elimination Cup tournament Persepolis faced Malavan Anzali on Saturday, 30/11/2002 and defeated the club with the score of 2-0 and has qualified for the next round. After the match, Ali Parvin, head coach of Persepolis, commented on the results of the match and his team, “We had said that the team will gradually improve. I am satisfied with the boys despite the fact that we had 4 injured players after the match with Abu Moslem.”

“Malavan is a young team with prospects and a good future. Rafaat made a bad move when he physically attacked the opponents and was correctly sent off during the match. He should not have shown any reaction to
