Taghavi, “Saipa will replace Kazemi”

PLDC - Mojtaba Taghavi, ex-defender and present coach of Saipa of Tehran, is assisting Giovanni May, head coach, in the club. He spoke about his club, the transfer of Javad Kazemian to Al Ahli of the UAE and the  Professional League fifth week match between Saipa and Fajr Shiraz which ended as a 0-0 draw, “Both teams used the same style and the ball was mostly in the center of the field. The match became slightly faster at the end of both halves.”

“We would have scored if we had been lucky. Fajr is in great form this season but they did not present a good performance. They could not even create one threat against us. Saipa presented itself better than them in this game.”

“Javad Kazemian is a young, intelligent, well-behaved player who has been with Saipa for a number of years. He has reached the peak of his career this year. His transfer is hard on us but it won’t cause us problems. We have had some other players ready to take over his posts that now have the opportunity to show themselves.”
