PLDC - The defeat of Al Faisali of Jordan away and at home, in the preliminary leg of the Asian Clubs Super Cup tournament, has pushed Esteghlal through to the next stage. Sirous Dinmohammadi was one of the elements in 
the away match that brought Esteghlal victory. He has apparently become a force that can set up and score sensitive balls for his clubs.

After the Estehglal - Al Faisali match which ended with the score of 2-0, he commented, "I have to frankly say that Al faisali was a great team and the fans were as devoted as the Esteghlal fans. When we scored the winning goal, the stadium froze with shock, and then everyone forgot the hosts after that."

"It was a lucky goal. When I got the ball, I looked up and saw that Ahmadzadeh was in a good position. I passed him the ball and waited for the return pass. When I got it, I went in and finished the job. If such things make the fans happy, I'll try to score more goals in the future."

"I have heard that our next opponent, Naftchi of Uzbekistan, uses the Russian style of playing and that we must not at all underestimate them. The first match (30th October) is at home and we must finish them off right here in Tehran."

For the victory and their achievements against Al Faisali, each Esteghlal player will apparently receive the sum of $250 as bonus and incentive.
