| JAKARTA: Uzbekistan confirmed
their ticket in the quarter-finals of the fourth Asian Football
Confederation’s futsal tournament with a win over Taiwan 5-1 in the last
Group B match at the Istora Senayan Stadium here yesterday.
They join title-holders Iran as qualifiers from the group. Iran won all their three matches . Thailand, South Korea and Iraq are also through to the quarter-finals from Group A. The Thais topped the group, winning four matches. Japan emerged as the champions of Group C and they are joined in the last eight by Kuwait, whom they beat 3-0 in the last group fixture.
