AFC - Iranian striker Alireza Vahedinikbakht is reportedly on his way to the Spanish La Liga to join Madrid side Rayo Vallecano. According to a report by Iranmania.com, the former Esteghlal forward is scheduled to depart for Spain on Sunday, and will join up with Primera side Rayo Vallecano after being linked with a host of other European clubs. Vahedinikbakht was also linked with another Spanish club Atletico Madrid earlier in the year, and although there had been interest in his services from clubs in the United Arab Emirates, the Iranian striker now looks set to become the first Iranian to play in the Spanish top flight. |
