Pegah defeats Esteghlal

MNA - Tehran-based Esteghlal football club was beaten 1-0 by Pegah of Gilan on Saturday in the 2nd week of the Iranian Professional League (IPL) in Rasht’s Sardar-e-Jangal stadium.
The sole goal came 30 minutes into the second half when Adriano Alves scored a header.

Pegah took a sweet revenge as the club suffered a defeat in Iranian League Cup to Esteghlal last season. A good performance was enough to bag three important points for the Pegah.

The visiting team put Pegah under pressure and scored a goal six minutes from time by Piruz Ghorbani but referee Rahim Rahimi-Moghaddam ruled that out because of offside.
