Daei, Joo-sung confirmed for Mandela match

AFCAC - ZURICH, Iranian legend Ali Daei and Korean Kim Joo-sung will play for the Rest of the World team against the Africa team in the ‘90 Minutes for Mandela’ match at the Newlands Stadium in Cape Town on 18 July.

Daei and Joo-sung are the only Asians to be named in the star-studded ‘Rest of the World’ squad which includes Christian Karembeu, Patrick Mboma, Ruud Gullit and Pele, among others.

The game, which will serve as a tribute to the legendary South African statesman and coincide with his 89th birthday, assembles winners of all of the major titles in world football, including the FIFA World Cup™, the European Championship, the African Cup of Nations and the UEFA Champions League.
