PLDC - After Esteghlal's two consecutive defeats, Esteghlal team management has decided to make some changes in the coaching staff and hire a new head coach to replace Samad Marfavi, the current head coach. After yesterday's meeting and preliminary talks with a couple of foreign coaches, the management has decided to hire an Iranian coach, and the number one candidate seems to be Mr. Firooz Karimi, the current coach of Esteghlal Ahvaz. It is reported that both sides have agreed to the terms and after the Ahvaz derby between Foolad and Esteghlal Ahvaz, Firooz Karimi will take over Esteghlal Tehran and Marfavi might make a move to Esteghlal Ahvaz as a coach. Esteghlal team management is expected to make an official announcement in the next few days. Posted by: Armin A. |
