Simoes: "I'm pleased with the win only! "

 

PLDC - Iran U23 coach told news: "The only thing I'm pleased with is the 3 points we got nothing else, Players couldn't satisfy me with their performance at all."

Rene Simoez who was talking to the reporters after the game added "We only won the game! I'm not pleased with how we played, But I can understand this, Because of the incidents which happened recently. I think those incidents distracted our players minds and didn't let them to focus on the game."

Simoez also mentioned "U23 team players have been playing beside each other for a very short time and they are still coping and adapting themselves with the new style and team-mates."

Iran U23 team coach emphasized the fact that these group stage matches are meant to prepare us for the tough games upcoming.

On Roudbarian`s mistake which cost us Maldive`s only goal he said:" I have always warned our players about backward passed to keepers and that they should never do it, But unfortunately it happened and we learnt it the hard way.
