Mehdi Mahdavikia, who plays in the German Bundesliga with Hamburg, will be
out of action for three months after undergoing surgery on his disc.
He is currently hospitalised and will only be released in two weeks’ time. Mahdavikia hit international fame when he scored in the 2-1 win over the United States during the World Cup in France four years ago. “I’m worried about my health but I hope to get back into action soon,” he said.
