Gholami helps Malavan hold south Esteqlal

IRNA - Malavan striker Mohammad Gholami scored a late equalizer against home team Esteqlal in the 21st week match of the fifth Iran Pro League in Takhti Stadium, southern city of Shoushtar, Sunday.

Fereydoun Fazli put Esteqlal ahead in the 76th minute, but his opener was canceled out by Gholami three minutes from normal time.

More than 5,000 fans watched the match.

Referee Alireza Faghani and linesmen Mohammad-Reza Abolfazli and Hassan Kamrani judged the game.

The 1-1 draw gave Malavan the 10th place in the table with 25 points and put Esteqlal in the 12th spot on 23 points.

Rah Ahan and Esteqlal play the last 21st week game in Tehran's Azadi Stadium Monday afternoon.
