Iran placed fifth, winning 3-0 over the Netherlands

ATHENS2004 - The 7-a-side Football team of Iran placed fifth in the Tournament after beating the Netherlands 3-0 at the classification match, held at the Helliniko Sports Complex.

Iranian team captain, Houshang KHOSRAVANI scored twice and Jeroen VOOGD (NED) netted an own goal. The Netherlands took sixth place.

The Dutch team dominated the pitch in the first half and missed several chances with Thieu van SON and Stephan LOKHOFF, yet the Iranians managed to score in the 28th minute with KHOSRAVANI, who made it double for his team in the 37th minute. 

Iran improved their performance in the second half and were rewarded with another goal in the 51st minute, when LOKHOFF tried to clear a cross by Abdolreza KERIMIZADEH (IRI) and the ball deflected on VOOGD and found the net.
