HindustanTimes - Five teams, including three foreign ones, will take part in the J R D Tata Invitational Cup (Under-19) football tournament to be held here from September 11 to 22. Teams from Uzbekistan, Bangladesh and Iran would vie for honours in the round-robin league tournament, besides hosts Tata Football Academy and India 'B', to be held at the J R D Tata Sports Complex, organizing committee sources said today. Selection for both the Indian squads was likely to be made next week after Indian coach Stephen Constantine arrives here on August 18. While Constantine and TFA coach Ranjan Chowdhury would be in charge of the TFA squad, Balan and Vijay Kumar were expected to be nominated as coaches for the India 'B' for the tournament. The India 'B' probables were undergoing a rigorous training camp here for the last one week. |
