German amateur coach signs with Esteqlal-e Tehran

IRNA - German amateur trainer Uwe Erkenbrecher signed a four-month deal with Iran's first division football team Esteqlal Tehran to become their new assistant coach, the media said Tuesday.
Erkenbrecher who terminated his contract with German third division squad SC Paderborn, will immediately join his new team in Tehran.
Esteqlal-e Tehran are coached by Erkenbrecher's compatriot Roland Koch who himself has been rumored to be on the verge of being dismissed following his team's frustrating performance this season.
One of this season's hot title favorites, Esteqlal are currently ranked 5th with 20 points out of 13 games, 11 points behind Azadegan league leader Sepahan-e Isfahan.
