Blue men route Foulad 3-1

PTV - Tehran's Esteqlal have converted three penalties from the spot to pass Foulad football club into the final playoff matches.

On Thursday, Esteqlal's Blue men outscored Foulad of Khouzestan FC 3-1 to storm into the finals.

The two teams drew 1-1 in regulation and extra time. Esteqlal's Ali Alizadeh scored a single goal for the Blue men in hope for winning the title, but Foulad's Ahmad Al-e Nemeh nailed the equalizer.

As the game went to penalty, the Blue men's keeper Vahid Taleblou saved out Ali Badavi and John Vario's shots, and the spell was cast on Foulad when Dasilva failed to convert his penalty by shooting off the goal.

It was the Blue men's luck when Esteqlal converted three penalties out of four.
